pitchon lev

Founded in 1998, Pitchon Lev is an apolitical nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty in Israel. Through nationwide programs, local community initiatives, direct engagement with aid recipients, and flexible, field-driven solutions, the organization supports over 200,000 Israelis each year and helps lift 1 in 4 families out of poverty.
Operating across Israel with a strong distribution network, Pitchon Lev brings together professional staff and dedicated volunteers who work closely with government bodies at all levels, earning broad public trust. The organization has also demonstrated strong crisis response capabilities, effectively navigating challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the Swords of Iron War.
As in previous years, Pitchon-Lev is proud to partner with the upcoming Maccabiah in a meaningful collaboration that reflects shared values of unity, responsibility, compassion, and social impact:
1. Sportswear Donation Initiative at Maccabiah City - A designated collection point enabling athletes from around the world to donate sports apparel and equipment, which will be distributed to individuals and families in need across Israel.
2. Presence on the M25 App - Creating direct engagement with thousands of athletes and delegations, and inviting them to take part in this shared act of giving.
3. Teddy Bear Toss at the Ice Hockey Final - During the Maccabiah ice hockey final match, stuffed animals thrown onto the rink as part of this beloved tradition will be collected and distributed to children in need, turning a powerful sporting moment into an act of care and generosity.
4. Volunteer Experiences for Visiting Delegations - Maccabiah Delegations will have the opportunity to take part in hands-on volunteer activities at Pitchon-Lev centers, including packing food parcels for those in need, offering a meaningful way to connect with Israeli society beyond the Games.
