Mifal HaPais is a public-benefit organization whose entire profits are reinvested in the community and holds the exclusive license to operate lotteries and games of chance in Israel.
In 1951, the first Mifal HaPais lottery was held, helping fund the construction of Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. For more than 75 years, the same guiding principle has remained at the heart of the organization: giving back to the community.
Over the years, Mifal HaPayis has supported projects that impact the lives of millions of Israelis, including classrooms, cultural centers, student scholarships, sports facilities, libraries, parks, welfare services, senior centers, social initiatives, and cultural events. This work is carried out in close cooperation with local authorities, which understand the needs, aspirations, and priorities of their communities and help to transform them into meaningful initiatives that strengthen local life.
Mifal HaPais supported the 2022 Maccabiah Games as part of the Paralympic competitions. This year, for the first time, a special partnership was established between the Maccabiah and local authorities, positioning them as strategic partners of the Games.
As part of this collaboration, Mifal HaPais supported the nationwide Maccabiah Torch Relay as it passed through dozens of municipalities across Israel, as well as the local pride campaign connecting residents with local athletes.
