For the first time in Maccabiah history, the iconic Maccabiah Torch will embark on a unique nationwide journey, connecting dozens of local communities across Israel - as a powerful symbol of our shared unity, resilience, pride, and hope.

Maccabiah 2026– More Than Ever! As always, the Maccabiah Opening Ceremony, set to take place at Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem, promises to be breathtaking, emotional, and unforgettable. It will feature a spectacular artistic performance with hundreds of dancers, world-renowned celebrities, special effects, and stunning pyrotechnics. Alongside the show, the traditional Delegations Parade will take place. Approximately 10,000 athletes from 60 countries will march together, having traveled to Israel especially for the Maccabiah Games. Eldar Gohar Groisman will direct the event, and Electra Target Ltd will lead the production. The Maccabiah 2026 will be held in Israel from June 30 to July 13 under the theme "More Than Ever", and is expected to be the most meaningful Maccabiah in our generation and the largest Jewish gathering in Israel since the events of October 7, 2023. Alongside the athletes from around the world competing in over 40 sports across four categories: Juniors, Open, Masters, and Paralympic, thousands of supporters, fans, and tourists will participate in this unforgettable celebration of sports and Jewish unity.

Open Water Swim
A meaningful and inspiring open water competition for MACCABI MEN/WOMEN athletes and swimmers. Participants will take part in a 1.5 km or 3 km swim in memory of Eden Nimri - a dedicated Maccabi open water swimmer who was tragically killed on October 7 during her military service at the Nahal Oz base. In her final moments, Eden bravely saved the lives of 17 soldiers, an act of extraordinary bravery and leadership in the face of unimaginable circumstances. This event honors her legacy and spirit through the sport she loved.
