Although ice hockey is considered a less popular sport in Israel, the ice hockey finals have brought great interest to the previous Maccabiah and to thousands of spectators in one of the fastest and most physical sports.

This year, the Maccabiah intends to join the tradition of ice hockey games where fans are asked to bring stuffed dolls with them to the game and throw them together towards the ice rink after the first goal. After, a special team gathers the dolls from the field to be then donated to children in need. In the U.S. and Canada, it is a familiar and exciting tradition- in individual games, tens of thousands of dolls are collected for children.

Entry to the arena is free and requires pre-registration.
