Czech Republic Hanukkah Torch Relay
The Three-Generational Community Center Hagibor and the Hakoach
Organization, supported by the European Maccabi Confederation,
cordially invite you to the Inaugural Hanukkah run.
On Sunday December 9, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. starting at the First Israel's Cemetery
on Fibichova St. Prague 3, founded in 1680, the run will commence.
The course will be 2.5 kilometers long and will end at Hagibor, the
gathering place for all generations.
The Hanukkah Run which is led by a torch is a tradition in many European cities, and in
Israel. Anyone can participate regardless of their age, gender or fitness level. Those of you
who do not care to run the entire route, but want to support the idea can run only a small
portion. We are also preparing a relay run. When the torch and all the participants arrive at
Hagibor, approximately 5 p.m., you will have the opportunity to experience the shared
lighting of the second Hanukkah Candle. After lighting Chanukiah we invite you for the
community gathering, which will include great entertainment, a buffet of food and a

the best latkes or potato cone. Babysitting and special programming for children will be
