Opening Ceremony

 

 The largest event of the year: the Maccabiah 2013 Opening Ceremony will take place on July 18th, 2013 at Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem. About 32,000 people are expected to attend this outstanding event, including Israel's President and Prime Minister, as well as numerous foreign and local dignitaries.  
 
The Maccabiah 2013 will be the largest in history, with over nine thousand athletes representing 71 countries. The emotive ceremony will include the athletes' march, the lighting of the Maccabiah torch, and live performances by local and internationally renowned artists such as Rami Kleinstein, one of Israel's greatest composers, Grammy Award winning violinist Miri Ben Ari, X-Factor USA finalist Carly Rose Sonenclar, Canadian-born singer and winner of The Voice - Israel Kathleen Reiter, and Israeli star Harel Skaat
 
 
 
The Maccabiah's Opening Ceremony will be broadcasted live on Israel's national television, as well as on JLTV.
