Feldmann ranked amongst the top six All-around gymnasts in the country
Jake Feldmann, a Broadway Gymnastic School level 10 gymnast, participated in the USA Selection Trials for the 2013 Maccabiah Games on December 2, 2012, in Norman Oklahoma at Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. Feldmann ranked amongst the top six All-around gymnasts in the country, winning him a position on the USA Junior Men’s Team to represent the United States at the July 2013 Maccabiah Games in Israel. Feldmann is one of only six Jewish men in the country who qualified and will compete against teams from 100 other countries. The Maccabiah Games is the 3rd largest international competition after the Olympics and PanAm Games making Feldmann’s accomplishments quite an honor. Along with Feldmann’s All-around placement, he also ranked 2nd on Vault, 4th on Rings, and 5th on Floor Exercise.
Throughout the 2012 competitive season, Feldmann competed at the highest level (level 10) in USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic program qualifying for the State, Regional and National Championship competitions. To advance to the Junior Olympic National Championships, gymnasts must compete in state and regional championships and qualify based on the highest all-around or multiple-event scores amongst the region.
Pali High 11th Grader Jake Feldmann, a local rising star from Pacific Palisades, is now busy training with coach Wade Petersen at Broadway Gymnastic School in Los Angeles with only six months left to prepare for Team USA in Israel.
